It is a working studio and shop in one: every plate, vase and citrus reamer is made by hand on site. Google Maps knows "Nika Horjak Ceramics" and walks you to the door.

Yes. The wheel runs most days, and visitors are welcome to stand, watch, and ask questions while Nika works. She speaks Slovenian, English, German, Croatian and Italian.

Every order is hand-packed in fine tissue paper and recycled card, then double-boxed and insured for safe arrival. If anything reaches you broken - chipped, cracked, or worse - we replace it free, anywhere in the world. EU orders over €100 ship complimentary.

Yes. Every piece in the catalogue ships from Piran the same week, insured and double-boxed, to the EU, the UK, the US and most of the world. EU orders over €100 ship free, and breakage in transit is replaced at no cost.

Really handmade. Every piece is shaped by hand - wheel-thrown for the vessels, slab-built for the platters and dishes - then trimmed, glazed and fired in our small studio in Piran. You'll see the fingerprints, the slight wobble of the rim, the wet-clay marks where it was lifted from the wheel. Those aren't flaws. They're proof.

That's the point. All pieces are dishwasher-safe, microwave-safe, lead-free. They're built to last decades of daily use, not be displayed in a cabinet.

Handmade ceramics take time. Each piece goes through several hand-touched steps over six days, with ten named glazes developed and tested in studio. EU-fair labor, locally-sourced clay, small-batch firing. This is what honest work costs.
